Francis Dean Tallman, Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19th in his home at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 21,1939 in Escanaba, Michigan to Ronald and Nola Tallman. Dean enlisted in the US Air Force in 1957, at the age of 17, where he worked in communications and served tours in Saudi Arbia, Germany, Italy, Pakistan and Puerto Rico until 1963. On July 3,1961, Dean married the love of his life, Louise Oberg in Baltimore, MD. After serving his country, he joined the Local 8 Iron Workers Union where he worked on the Apollo space shuttle launch pad 39B at the Kennedy Space Center, the Civic Center in Worcester, MA, Kikkoman Foods and several power plants throughout the US.
Dean loved to travel the country in his motorhome with his wife, children and grandchildren. With frequent travel to Upper Michigan, Maine, New Mexico, Missouri, Florida and California to visit family and friends. He enjoyed working on and restoring classic cars, like his 19
