Joyce Elaine Vaughn was born in Rockford, IL on April 10, 1949 to her mother, Annie Mae Tatum and her father, H. Turner. Joyce attended elementary and middle school in Rockford and graduated from West High School in 1967. After high school Joyce attended nursing school at Rock Valley College and received her LPN certificate, which she used for decades giving service to the sick and disabled. During this time, Joyce was married and had 4 children.
After the passing of her mother in 1991, Joyce decided to make a change in her life, and in 1993 she moved to Memphis, TN, where she continued her loving and caring service as a nurse and professional caretaker In Memphis. While in Memphis, Joyce decided to attend Southwest Tennessee Community College, where she received her RN license..Joyce began her own private nursing and caretaking business, and she continued this service in the Memphis Metro Area for more than 25 years.
