ROCKFORD – Mark Curtis Schlueter, age 53, of Rockford and formerly of Machesney Park, IL passed away peacefully at home Monday June 24, 2024. Born in Rockford on April 14, 1971 to Robert Schlueter & Cathy Thompson (Scott). A loving and kind soul, Mark would have given the shirt off his back if you needed it, he was known to many as a gentle giant. He truly loved spending time with his family & friends. Beloved son, brother, uncle and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his mother, Cathy Thompson; father, Robert Schlueter; siblings, Mike (Jennifer) Scott, Michele (Rob) Martin and Melinda (Aaron) Painter; and nieces & nephews, Michael (Lindsay) Feehan, Allison (Andrew) Falero, Adler (Kelsey) Painter and Ty Martin.
