Cindy Knauer was born December 31,1973 and she died after a courageous fight at OSF St. Anthony Hospital on June 26, 2024.Cindy loved her family, her church, her job, she just really loved life so much. She had a beautiful, vivacious personality which everyone loved.Cindy always wanted to move out on her own but felt it would be too expensive. A couple months ago she said to me "Mom, I don't think I'm suppose to move out because we need each other".Cindy served faithfully at The Refuge Church in Loves Park, IL for 20 years. During that time she served in a variety of roles including Assistant Pastor, Youth Group Leader, and Worship Leader. Cindy was used by God to touch lives, encourage those who were hurting, and to model a Christ-like life that others could imitate. Cindy could sing like an angel and had a smile that could bring joy to all those who walked in the church doors. She will be greatly missed by her church family.Cindy loved working at Rosecrance.
